Howard Weston holds the Corporate Finance Qualification (CFQ) awarded by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW) and is a member of the Institute’s Corporate Finance Faculty.
He also holds the Financial Planning Certificate (FPC) from the Chartered Insurance Institute having qualified as a financial adviser in 2003. He is a member of the International Business Brokers Association and has consulted with the Government’s business information internet portal BusinessLink, developing their business valuation and sales guides. He is regularly asked to give presentations and seminars in this field and has written articles on small business valuations and selling businesses for the BBC and other media outlets.
Howard has worked as a business valuer and broker for nearly twenty years, gaining extensive knowledge and experience in valuing, preparing for sale, marketing for sale, negotiating and selling a wide variety of small and medium sized enterprises. He uses this wealth of knowledge and experience in his current position heading the company Lucas & Weston Ltd. He has considerable experience in company valuations and share valuations having valued and negotiated the sale of numerous businesses in his role as a business broker
Outside work interests include: scuba diving, rugby, reading, psychology, travelling and playing the guitar badly.
